A little slice of heaven is on offer at a new doughnut store in Boronia.
Dodees opened its doors at the site of a former pizza shop at the corner of Boronia and Scoresby roads late last year.
The store has won rave reviews from sweet fans, with more than 16 doughnut flavours to choose from on weekdays, and 20 flavours, including vegan options, on weekends.
Owner Taimoor Tajuddin said the store’s signature doughnut, called the Stairway to Heaven, featuring white chocolate ganache, caramel and chocolate balls on top and a special stairway cream in the middle, was a hit with customers.
“It’s the one people love and comment on,” he said.
Other popular flavours include Golden Gaytime, custard and jam and cream.
Mr Tajuddin said Dodees, located next to the Australian Butcher Store, also served milkshakes, frappés, hot and iced coffees, and bubble teas.
He said a lot of people still didn’t realise the store existed, as it was in a bit of a “hidden” location, but they were working to promote themselves on social media.
“We’re located in a great place with lots of parking; we’re just a bit hidden,” he said.
Mr Tajuddin said their doughnuts were made fresh every day in store using top quality ingredients, including Cadbury chocolate.
“The quality of our dough is amazing as well,” he said.
Dodees is at 2/287 Boronia Rd.
