From hip breakfast favourites in the morning to hearty Italian dishes at night, Ora D’Oro wants to cater to everyone’s tastebuds.
The Italian-inspired Croydon restaurant, which opened in September, is open 15 hours a day, seven days a week.
Owner Raj Idama, who previously ran a similar restaurant in Melbourne’s west, said he wanted to provide plenty of options for diners throughout the day.
“The concept is all about offering a good choice for customers for 15 hours straight; we wanted to make sure everything is perfect,” he said.
“They can come for coffee in the morning or coffee in the evening … and the food is available from morning to dinner time.”
Mr Idama said he wanted to create a restaurant that catered for all types of diners.
There’s a big outdoor deck with views to Town Park, a formal dining room with plush blue velvet chairs and another separate space for casual dining.
Its menu has a modern Italian focus for lunch and dinner, including plenty of pizza and pasta, and modern Australian dishes such as smashed avocado for breakfast.

Mr Idama said he also had cakes, ice cream, focaccias and pastries available for takeaway.
“I want to offer value for Croydon,” he said.
“If there’s a good food strip, more people will come from different places, and it will be beneficial for all restaurants nearby.”
Ora D’Oro is open from 7am to 10pm daily at 16-28 Hewish Rd, Croydon.
