A Croydon burger shop owner has started selling grass-fed steaks as he reinvents his business during the coronavirus lockdown.
Mr T’s Burgers and Fried Chicken’s Dean Travers has sourced the steaks from one of his suppliers, which people can buy from him and cook at home.
He came up with the idea after meat supplies flew off supermarket shelves due to panic buying.
“It’s just about being diverse in these weird times,” he said.
“We’ve been being active on social media and doing different competitions, asking people to make their own burgers and we might put it on the menu.”

The Croydon Main Street Traders Association has encouraged locals to support its takeaway businesses which remain open despite restrictions.
Mr Travers had a surge in burger orders during a Saturday night promotion last month and was forced to close early due to demand.
“We’ve only been open for three months and I’ve put all my money and my heart and soul into it, so I’m glad people are still backing us,” he said.
