A video has emerged of a fight that broke out at Chirnside Park Shopping Centre where one man was taken to hospital.
Emergency services were called to the Maroondah Highway shops after a stoush between four people outside Woolworths just before 11am on Saturday, June 27.
In the video two men can be seen with their hands around the throat of a teenage girl, before pushing her to the ground.
A teenage boy then enters the fight pushing the two men and throwing punches at the pair.
One of the men then grabs the teenager and throws him to the ground.
What appears to be a Swiss Army knife can be seen open on the ground, before the teenage girl is seen picking it up.
A bystander yells out to “leave the knife” and “drop the knife”.
The bystander then attempts to stop the fight.
Another man can be seen in the background with a bleeding face.
Yarra Ranges detectives are still investigating the fight, which police believe started between two groups of people who knew each other.
A man in his 40s suffered cuts to his face and was taken to Maroondah Hospital for stitches.
Police said the man is one of the four who have been charged with affray.
Detectives believe a knife was not used in the fight.
