A Ferntree Gully grandmother has won $1m and says she will give it all to her family

A Ferntree Gully woman is going to make sure her family has “everything they need in life” after winning $1m in TattsLotto.

A grandmother has promised will make sure her family has “everything they need in life” after a huge TattsLotto win.

The grandmother from Ferntree Gully received a phone call on Monday morning from The Lott, informing her of a huge $1.1m win.

A spokesperson from The Lott said the grandmother was elated with the news.

“I’m in so much shock. Thank you very much. I’m bloody glad about this,” she said.

“I can’t explain how life-changing this is — but it changes everything for us.”

The grandmother told The Lott she was crying and shaking at the news, and that it was a welcome boost after a few rough years.

“This is just the best thing on the planet. Mate, it’s bloody out of this world,” she said.

The grandmother also revealed she had generous plans for her Saturday night winnings.

“I want to use my prize to help my kids and my grandkids. I want to make sure they have absolutely everything they need in life,” she said.

“That’s what is important to me – making sure they’re all looked after.”

The grandmother purchased the winning ticket from the Upwey Newsagency in Main St.

Newsagency owners Peter and Helen Raupach said they couldn’t be more excited for their lucky customer.

“It was a fantastic surprise for us,” Mr Raupach said.

“We really are over the moon.”

The couple said it had been a while since one of their customer had scored a division one win.

“Wins like this generate so much positivity,” Mrs Raupach said

“We’ve been sharing the news with all our customers and they’re so happy for the winner. They’re hoping they’re next to win division one.
