IRATE homeowners are about to burst over a faulty stormwater drainage system in Westmeadows that causes their properties to flood every time it rains.
Residents in Denham Court say their homes are regularly being flooded due to a system that bursts under pressure.
Nadia Dusenjko said whenever it rains she abruptly cancels her plans and rushes to her home desperate to control the situation.

HUME COUNCIL CALLS FOR ACTION ON NARROW STREETS
Her newly renovated house and other neighbouring properties are regularly affected with owners now calling for compensation to fix the damage. “If we’re not home when this happens, the water gushes into our property and it can get a metre high in our garage,” she said.
“Our brand new lawnmower, power tools — everything in our garage has been damaged.
“I can’t attend functions any more — I was even concerned on my wedding day in February that it was going to rain.”
Despite Ms Dusenjko and other neighbours’ numerous complaints to Hume Council, nothing has been done to fix it. Neighbour Jason McGrice first made a formal complaint to the council in December last year.
He said the council initially promised to begin repair works in July, but had since backtracked.
Council sustainable, infrastructure and services director Peter Waite said repair works would involve replacing a large drain through the yards of several homes.
“This would have required the removal of a shed built over the old drain,” he said. “This solution would have caused a high degree of disruption to residents.
“Council is now looking into how it may reduce disruption to residents and deliver a cost-efficient solution by examining other design options.”
