Identified: Two men die in Koo Wee Rup, Epping motorbike crashes

Police have formally identified the two people killed in motorbike crashes at Koo Wee Rup and Epping.

The victim of a fatal motorbike crash in Koo Wee Rup has been identified as a 33-year-old Botanic Ridge man.

Two people were killed in separate motorbike crashes north and south-east of Melbourne on Sunday morning. Emergency services were called to one incident in Koo Wee Rup about 7.30am.

The driver of a motorcycle which crashed at the intersection of Rossiter Road and the Koo Wee Rup Bypass died at the scene.

Earlier on Sunday, an 18-year-old Wollert man died when his motorbike crashed on Hayston Boulevard in Epping about 5am.

Police are still investigating both crashes.

There have been at least 128 deaths on Victorian roads this year, compared with 110 the same time last year.
