Crooks have used a truck to smash into an Epping IGA store in an early morning ram raid.
The truck reversed into the McDonalds Rd supermarket about 4.50am on Friday and thieves attempted to steal the ATM, but fled empty-handed.
Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the incident.

It comes only hours after three hooded bandits raided a jewellery store at Epping Plaza.
The trio terrorised an Angus & Coote store at Pacific Epping shopping centre just before 10am on Thursday, as frightened customers and staff retreated into nearby retailers.
No arrests have been made.
