Armed with a table full of homemade treats and donations from Coles and the Cheesecake Shop, Monique opened the doors to her home and raised $800 for the charity.
She said she was “surprised” but thrilled to have raised so much.
She planned to hold another bake sale next year but would also continue to save gold coins from her pocket money for the appeal.
Monique’s mother, Maria, said she was proud her “wonderful daughter” would think to help children who were not well.
