A nine-year-old golfer has done what most weekend hacks only dream of — hit an “unbelievable” hole in one.
As the sun was going down at Northcote public golf course last Wednesday, Grant Shell decided to film his son Patrick tee off on the 6th hole.
The video shows Patrick teeing up then swinging before his dad shouts and the youngster bursts into tears after his miracle shot
“It was pretty exciting,” Patrick told the Herald Sun.
Patrick said he couldn’t wait to go home to tell his sisters and friends about his impressive achievement.
He also said his friends hoped he could “do it again” one day.
The young golfer, who takes lessons once a week, won’t be giving up on the sport anytime soon and hopes to one day play professionally.
Grant, who plays golf socially, was impressed with his son’s achievement.
“It was unbelievable, we were both extremely excited,” Grant said.
“The biggest thing for me was his reaction after; the shot was great but his emotion after it was fantastic and he was pretty happy with himself.”
