St Albans takeaway shop burglary: Two men allegedly stole safe full of cash from Kings Road store

A “substantial amount” of cash was stolen after two men allegedly forced their way into a St Albans takeaway shop in the middle of the night.

Two men allegedly forced their way into a St Albans takeaway shop before making off with a safe full of cash.

Police have been told the pair allegedly broke into the Kings Rd shop about 3.30am May 11.

Police allege they damaged a television before stealing cash from the till and finding a safe.

The pair then allegedly removed the safe from the property and placed it into a single cab Ford Ranger before getting into the car and driving off.

Police said the safe contained “a substantial amount” of cash.

Investigators have released images of a car and two men they believe may be able to help with their inquiries.
