Reservoir’s Charles Gale pleads guilty to producing, possessing child abuse material

A Reservoir man who produced child abuse material overseas was busted returning to Australia with the material.
Charles Gale, 62, pleaded guilty in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on December 6 to possessing child abuse material.
According to charge sheets, Gale produced child abuse material in Zhengzhou, China on June 26.
The 62-year-old was then caught with child abuse material when he arrived back at Tullamarine Airport on July 23, before he was charged by the Australian Federal Police’s Joint Anti Child Exploitation team.
Gale will plead in the County Court on January 23 at 9am.
Gale’s bail conditions, which were extended, mean he cannot access the internet outside of using essential services such as banking or booking healthcare appointments.
