Police are investigating a suspicious factory fire in Melbourne’s north after it went up in flames.

Emergency services rushed to Malcolm Place in Campbellfield about 8.15am on Friday after reports of flames and smoke coming from a factory.

Fireys worked for 27 minutes to bring a blaze in a 15m x 20m concrete tilt slab warehouse under control.

No one was inside the building.

Paramedics attended the scene but did not treat anyone and no injuries have been reported.

Police are treating the fire as suspicious and an arson chemist will attend the scene later today to determine the cause.

It comes hours after two people tragically died as almost 50 firefighters battled a vicious factory fire in Sunshine North on Friday.
