Police investigate Murrindindi Rd fatal road traffic crash
A fatal car crash in Murrindindi has been referred to the Coroner as questions remain over who was involved.

A motorist killed in a single-vehicle crash at Murrindindi on Monday is expected to take several days or even weeks to identify, police say.
The individual was reportedly trapped in their vehicle after losing control and crashing into a tree on Murrindindi Rd, near Cummins Rd, Murrindindi about 2.30pm.
Police confirmed the driver died at the scene and was unable to be identified at the time.
On Tuesday morning, formal identification of the deceased was still yet to occur, with a police spokesperson saying the process “may take some time” – possibly up to two weeks.
The spokesperson declined to comment further on the circumstances surrounding the crash as the matter is now before the Coroner.
Six emergency vehicles attended the crash and remained at the scene until about 4pm.
