Litterers are illegally dumping hard rubbish at Greensborough’s Whatmough Park – frustrating park users.
An old mattress, television and office chairs were just some of the debris dumped outside a charity bin at the park this month.
Brenton Kinnear, who took the photos and uploaded them to Facebook, said he was fed up with the constant dumping that occurs.
“I’m disgusted with the constant dumping of debris,” Mr Kinnear said.
“The charity bin located in the park has been used as a rubbish bin for people’s general waste.”
The ‘donations’ overflow onto the carpark and consist of old prams, crushed cardboard boxes and disused children's toys, left out in the rain.
Mr Kinnear uploaded the photos on Saturday, but said by Thursday, rubbish at the site had doubled.
Whatmough Park is used by St Mary’s Football Club and Riverside Cricket Club, with more than 500 members frequenting the venue weekly.
Cricket club committee member Kym Ellks said people dumped rubbish there every week.
“They used to dump behind the club rooms so the council put a gate in, now they just dump at the sports bin,” he said.
