One woman has been taken to hospital after a medical emergency brought a popular shopping centre to a standstill.

A shopper has been taken to hospital after suffering a medical episode at a popular northern shopping spot.
Ambulance crews attended Northland Shopping Centre just after midday on October 23 after a call to 000.
One woman was taken to Austin Hospital after being assessed at the scene.
A spokesperson from Ambulance Victoria said “paramedics were assessing one person for a medical episode. There are no further details at this stage.”
Northland Shopping Centre has been contacted for comment.
