New Vinnies store opens in Thomastown
Shoppers have queued up to be the first to check out Melbourne’s newest Vinnies store in Thomastown. And there’s extra savings to be had for early bird customers this weekend.

Hundreds of shoppers have come through the doors for the opening of a new Vinnies shop in Thomastown.
People were even seen queuing outside the shop at unit 1, 256 Settlement Rd ahead of the opening at 9am today.
St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria area manager Pete Kalogeropoulos said a Vinnies store featured in many suburbs across Melbourne’s northern suburbs, but not Thomastown.
“Vinnies will finally be in one of the community hubs of Thomastown,” he said.
“We are proud to be able to service the local community with amazing products and a lovely, large spacious shop.”

The store has already recruited 11 new volunteers and is looking for more.
Crystal Gorgioski said she signed up because of the “inspiring work” Vinnies was renowned for.
“I’m excited to see how the shop will grow,” the 18-year-old said.
“I’m enjoying volunteering and definitely recommend it to others – everyone at the shop makes it fun and accepts people as they are.”
The shop will be open seven days a week and is offering 25 per cent off all purchases on the first weekend of trading.
