There’s no treading lightly in this monster charity effort, as a Bundoora personal trainer readies to flip an 80kg truck tyre 3.5km.
And there’s only one thing he wants in return — a big cold beer from his support crew.
Force Fitness Studio founder Steve Vidanovski will attempt the strongman feat from 2.30pm on October 25.
While it’s only a seven minute car ride, he plans to emerge four hours later at Lollipops Playland and Cafe, Bundoora
The effort will raise money for Kids First, a welfare group which has been working with children and families since 1896.
“To be able to help these guys and the kids around that area is awesome,” Mr Vidanovski said.
“You’re helping locals, families you might have a connection with but you never know if they use those services.”
Mr Vidanovski said he had done charity work for them before, and dreamt up this plan with his wife and friends.
“I’m the guinea pig for this experiment. They’re the brains and I’m the brawn,” he said.
Mr Vidanovski has been doing strength work and power lifting to prepare himself but had only flipped a tire 1.5km in training.
“It’s scary thinking about the distance and how it’s going to unfold on the day. You don’t know if the body is going to break down,” he said.
He’ll flip the tire with a support crew, including medical professionals, in tow.
“Hopefully they’ve got a beer for me while I’m flipping,” Mr Vidanovski said.
To raise money the gym is selling tickets to the Lollipops afterparty, where they will have food, activities and entertainment.
They’re hoping to raise more than $8000.

Mr Vidanovski said he hoped everyone would get behind the great cause.
“I’m putting my body on the line for this. I have to get as many people out there and supporting as I can,” he said.
Doors open at 6pm with Mr Vidanovski arrival predicted to be around 6.30pm.
