A person was hit by a train on the Hurstbridge line on Friday morning, sparking peak hour delays for commuters in Melbourne’s north for several hours.
The line was closed between Greensborough and Macleod from 6.30am until about 9am.
Police confirmed it was a self harm incident but the person did not sustain any serious injuries.
