Thirty firefighters battled a blaze at a home in Melbourne’s north, metres away from a local primary school.
Emergency services were called to a house in Fawkner at 8am on May 9, with reports of a fire.
Smoke was billowing from the Sandra Ave property, which was visible kilometres away from the site of the incident.
Firefighters worked for half an hour to bring the blaze under control, deploying a firefighting air unit to combat the fire.
All the occupants of the home were evacuated successfully.
The house is close to Moomba Park Primary School, but no students were endangered and all neighbouring properties were protected by firefighters.
The cause of the fire is unknown and Fire Rescue Victoria is investigating.
