Danseys Paddock and Fabbros Farm are being considered as possible locations for an off-leash dog park in Eltham.
It comes after the State Government put aside $5 million to create 16 new dog parks across Melbourne.
Eltham state Labor MP Vicki Ward said the public were also encouraged to suggest locations.
“Dog parks aren’t just great for dogs, they are terrific for their humans too,” she said.
“It’s a great social experience for dogs and their owners.”
The park must be no smaller than 0.5 hectares and must be under-utilised and suitable for an enclosed dog park where wildlife and vegetation is not impacted.
The space must also be supported by toilets, lighting, carparking and access to
water and undercover shelter.
