Hume Council has joined Leader to push for a Broadmeadows train station upgrade.

Earlier this month, the Leader launched its Fix The Station campaign to push for action on the long-overdue project.

It came after the council demanded the unsafe station be pulled down and replaced with a vibrant transport hub.

Hume Mayor Carly Moore said the council and the community had been calling on the State Government to invest in the Broadmeadows train station for many years.

“(We) … have been very disappointed that the funding and improvements so far have been underwhelming to say the least,” Cr Moore said.
