A quiet Broadmeadows street received an early wakeup call on Cup Day as 30 firefighters battled to bring a house fire under control.
The blaze took engulfed the Ripplebrook Dr property about 6.45am on Tuesday, November 3.
Fire Rescue Victoria crews responded following reports of smoke and flames emanating from the roof.
It took 10 units including a helicopter, and 30 firefighters to battle the inferno inside the single-storey brick house, eventually bringing it under control in 25 minutes.
The power and gas supplies to the house were isolated and firefighters remained on scene working to completely extinguish the fire and monitor any hot spots.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria both attended helping firefighters.
It’s understood no one was injured during the fire and ambulance crews didn’t treat anyone for injuries.
The cause of the fire was being investigated.
