Accused Melbourne drug dealer Scott Vastag faces court charged with trafficking meth
An accused meth dealer has allegedly been busy tooling himself up for suspected sophisticated burgs all over Melbourne’s east.

An accused Melbourne burglar and meth dealer allegedly knocked over multiple apartments during a suspected sophisticated burglary spree.
Scott Vastag, 41, fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday charged with a slew of offences, including trafficking meth and multiple burglaries.
Police alleged Vastag – aka Scott Ennis – went rampant on a suspected crime spree through Melbourne’s east between July 29 and August 8 last year.
Vastag allegedly scoped out and burgled various apartment blocks and other properties located at Alphington, Hawthorn, Hawthorn East, Ivanhoe, Doncaster and Kew.
Vastag also allegedly hit the same Alphington apartment block in a three-day period and made off with a $6000 KTM motorbike and a $4500 set of TaylorMade golf clubs.
Vastag also allegedly knocked over Quest Apartments Hawthorn on August 3.
Investigators eventually caught up with Vastag in Epping where he was allegedly nabbed dealing meth on August 8.
It’s alleged Vastag was caught with meth, a Victoria Police ID, a homemade sword, Xanax and Viagra.
Vastag was also allegedly nabbed with an RFID writer, gloves, head torches, an inflatable door wedge operator and hand tools police suspect were to be used to commit burglaries.
Vastag, of Heidelberg West, was arrested, charged and remanded in custody.
Vastag, via his lawyer, indicated he would plead guilty to all charges before the court but the hearing was postponed due to an issue with the evidence brief.
The court was informed Vastag was on bail at the time of alleged burglary spree.
It’s alleged Vastag was caught with drugs, cash and weapons at Melbourne East in November 2021.
Investigators, who searched Vastag due to his “behaviour” while he sat in an Audi convertible, allegedly seized cocaine, heroin, $4640 cash, a taser and an extendable baton.
The court heard Vastag will fight these allegations at a contested hearing to be heard at a later date.
Vastag, who appeared via Ravenhall Correctional, will be sentenced for the other matters on April 17.
