Accused killer’s County date set following tragic Thomastown hit and run
A man who allegedly killed a teenage student in a hit and run incident in Thomastown has again fronted the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.

An alleged killer driver involved in a horror hit-run crash in Melbourne’s north which claimed the life of one of a young woman will remain behind bars for at least the next three months.
Che Proctor, 22, appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court via video link from remand on Friday afternoon, where he announced his intention to plead guilty to a host of charges, meaning the matter will now head to the County Court.
Police allege on March 26, Mr Proctor was behind the wheel of a stolen Kia Cerato when it crashed into a Mercedes-Benz on Mahoneys Rd in Thomastown on Sunday about 1am.
But instead of rendering assistance to his two injured passengers, including Lara Guglielmi, it is alleged Mr Proctor fled the scene.
Emergency services performed CPR on Lara, 19, from Mill Park but she died at the scene.
Police found Mr Proctor on Wednesday, March 29 at a property residence in Box Hill where he was arrested.
He was allegedly found with methamphetamine, ecstasy and cannabis.
Mr Proctor allegedly stole the vehicle from a car rental company hours before the incident allegedly occurred.
Mr Proctor will remain in custody until he faces the County Court in March.
