Two men emerge from Wentworth plane crash with minor injuries

Two men have miraculously managed to walk away from a light plane crash with only minor injuries.
NSW emergency services were called to Wentworth Aerodrome after reports a plane had crashed into trees while taking off just before midday on Monday.
Officers from the Barrier Police District discovered the plane in a flooded paddock near the Silver City Highway.
The pilot and his passenger were able to free themselves from the wreckage and were found by Fire and Rescue NSW crews as they were walking through floodwaters and away from the plane.
Paramedics treated the 65-year-old pilot and his 42-year-old passenger for shock.
One of the men was also treated for a laceration to the head.
Both men were taken to Mildura Base Hospital for further observation.
The crash site is currently sealed off pending further investigation.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash will be conducted by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB).
