Despite boasting more than 11,000 Instagram followers, owner Belinda Shipp said Axle was still the same dog she’d always known.
“He hasn’t changed. He just keeps smiling and spinning,” she said.
“He’s loving. He just loves to be with you and you’ve got to take him everywhere.”
She said the past two years had been so busy, Axle even had an agent come on board to help manage his bookings.
Ms Shipp admitted she was apprehensive when he son announced he was adopting a staffy. The pooch’s easygoing personality quickly won her over.
“Axle has sort of become an ambassador for the staffy community. It’s given us that opportunity to show everyone what great dogs they are,” she said.
“They are so intelligent. They’d have to be one of the most intelligent breeds around. The way they learn things is so quickly.”
