Motorist travelling on a busy Melbourne freeway are facing major traffic chaos after a car went up in flames.
Emergency services rushed to Calder Freeway near Keilor Park Dr after a car caught on fire on Thursday morning about 8.40am.
Two left outbound lanes have been blocked on the Calder Freeway with city bound traffic also slowing down in the area.
Vehicles are stacking up for kilometres on the freeway.
Authorities are urging motorists to be patient and merge safely.
