A talented artist is beginning to see the world differently as he makes his mark on the canvas.
Brunswick painter Tom Ferson said his vision has continued to change 10 years after breaking into professional art.
The 31-year-old problem solves colour issues in colourful works that often tell intimate stories.
Ferson said inspiration could come from something as simple as walking down the street or noticing shadows on a subject’s face.
“Sometimes I might be reminded of something that happened to me or a situation or sometimes it can just be triggered by witnessing anything like the way the light hits something when I’m walking,” he said.

“When I’m observing things like that, it’s just part of enjoying living.

Ferson’s work will feature in the Affordable Art Fair at the Royal Exhibition Building from September 5 to 8.
