THE furniture may soon be gone, but Franco Cozzo will continue to tower over Sydney Rd.
A permit application from Taylors Development Strategies on behalf of the furniture seller for an eight-storey apartment building with 32 dwellings at his Brunswick store has been publicly advertised.
Architectural plans show the street facade of the building will remain, with the complex to feature a gigantic art mural of Cozzo facing north up Sydney Rd.

Cozzo will remain the owner of the building and said he had no plans to sell.
The application was originally lodged with Moreland Council in October last year and acting director of planning and economic development Sue Vujcevic said it will be tabled before the council at a meeting before the end of the year. Objections to the application can be lodged at moreland.vic.gov.au until September 24.
