Fox busted on CCTV stealing shoes from Coburg porch
When a Coburg teen lost his school shoes, he gave his teacher a video, instead of a note, to explain. It turns out a very unexpected thief stole them from his front porch, and he caught it all on camera.

A cheeky fox has been caught on camera stealing a shoe from a Coburg home before coming back minutes later to complete its pair.
Jim Massa’s security camera captured the fox sneaking onto the porch of his Shackell St home and grabbing his son’s left school shoe at 6.20am on Monday.

The mysterious mammal takes off with the shoe before appearing to return from underneath the house about four minutes later to complete the job and grab what appears to be the right shoe.

Mr Massa said instead of sending his son George to school with a note explaining why he wasn’t wearing his “stinky” school shoes, he sent the Year 10 student off to Strathmore Secondary College with the video.
Jim said he wanted to give Coburg locals a heads-up in case any other shoes go missing.
“I’ve asked my neighbours if they have seen or suspected anything that resembles like a fox and they all said no,” he said.
“It’s not something you’d expect.”
While it couldn’t be confirmed as the same fox, it comes just months after a similar four legged thief was filmed stealing thongs in Watsonia.
