A sneaky fox with a penchant for footwear has been caught on camera stealing a priceless pair of thongs from the front deck of a Watsonia house.
The crafty mammal crept up to the front decking of the Temby St home early this morning and snuck away with a thong between its jaws.
It came back moments later for the other thong.

Homeowner Amy McCann noticed the footwear missing and found the crafty culprit upon checking her CCTV footage.
She said she first thought the thongs were stolen by a shoe thief.
“A lot of shoes were stolen (in the area) last year, which is why we got CCTV put in, so we thought the shoe thief was back at first but then we saw the footage,” she said.
She put the footage on Facebook and said it was “hilarious” to see the fox stealing her thongs — but now she wants them back.
“They were a pair of limited edition Rio Olympics thongs I purchased from the Olympic Village in 2016,” she said.
“It’s crazy — I’d never think for a moment that a fox would steal a thong and then to come back for the complete pair.”
Ms McCann was at the Olympics as the media manager for the cycling team.
