Former Sheesh Grill manager Daniel Pisano jailed after pleading guilty to 37 child sex offences
A former manager at one of Melbourne’s most popular Lebanese restaurants ousted as a serial sex fiend has been served his just deserts after admitting to 37 child sex crimes including posing as a bisexual teen to solicit vile images.

A serial sex fiend who posed online as a teenage boy to solicit vile images from children has been jailed.
Daniel Pisano, 34, was sentenced in the County Court on Wednesday to a minimum four years and nine months’ jail after pleading guilty to 37 child sex offences including using a carriage service to transmit indecent communication to a child and transmitting child pornography.
Pisano was nabbed after Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team police raided his Greenvale home on February 11 this year.
Cops caught Pisano trying to hide a mobile phone when they stormed through the doors of his Edara Circuit home.
Investigators seized two phones, a computer tower and a hard drive which together contained almost 24,000 vile child pornography images and videos.
The vile files including “significant” content which depicted sadism or torture.
Police also seized children’s underwear and tights.
There was also evidence Pisano posed as a 15-year-old bisexual teen girl named ‘Courtney’ and other aliases to groom multiple underage victims via KiK and WhatsApp between April 2019 and February 2020.
Pisano requested his victims share lewd images and videos of themselves.
In return, Pisano shared lewd images and videos of himself.
He also engaged in vile conversations where he quizzed his victims on their sexual experience and the deviant sexual acts he wanted them to do and what he wanted to do to them.
Pisano — who also pleaded guilty to transmitting child porn material — told police he attempted to hide his phone because he knew he was “in the wrong” and he had a “problem”.
The sicko restaurant manager also said he “understands child abuse material is very bad and illegal”.
Pisano admitted posing as 16-year-old boy ‘Jason’ on social media because its “easier to talk to boys and girls around that age”.
The sex fiend was also part of a KiK paedophile ring which shared child porn via Dropbox.
Pisano was granted bail but police were back at his house on May 21 after the serial sicko was nabbed with more child pornography.
Pisano told police he paid $50 to a Russian person in return for a link to a vile child porn website.
The court was told Pisano has priors for child sex crimes.
In 2008, he was convicted and sentenced to a community order after he was done for possessing child pornography and making child pornography.
The court was told Pisano has a “good work history with constant employment” since leaving Mt Waverley Secondary College.
He has held down a long-term job as a manager for northwest Lebanese restaurant Sheesh Grill.
His former boss provided Pisano a reference which was tendered at this month’s plea hearing but withdrawn prior to sentencing.
Pisano also has a preoccupation with pornography and clothing including women’s tights, the court was told.
Judge Scott Johns said Pisano committed “protracted” and “deeply troubling” offending.
“You participated in the proliferation and trafficking of child abuse material,” Judge Johns said.
“By extensions you part of this vile trade and exploitation of defenceless children.
“The community must be protected from such predatory behaviour such as yours.”
Pisano – who appeared via videolink from Hopkins – was jailed for a maximum eight years.
He was made a registered sex offender for life.
