Basketballers unite: All-ages 3x3 tournament heads to racecourse

A fast-paced 3-on-3 hoops competition is on its way to Moonee Ponds, with players to be rewarded with FIBA world ranking points for each game. And the NBL has revealed how budding basketballers of all ages can take part.

Aspiring ballers can show off their skills at a fast and furious basketball tournament heading to Moonee Valley Racecourse.

The National Basketball League, in collaboration with Moonee Valley Racing Club, is calling for the best blacktop stars to take part in a 3x3 Street Hustle competition to Moonee Ponds next month.

The half-court competition sees teams of three play off in 10-minute matches, with the first to 21 points the winner.

Teams can register in Under-12, Under-14, Under-16 and open categories.

Each player will get rewarded with FIBA world ranking points for each game, and will be able to see how their skills compare on Australian and world rankings.

The competition is on February 8 and 9 from 9am to 6pm.
