PETstock on the hunt for 1000 homes for dumped animals
Animal lovers from far and wide are invited to give a furry friend a loving home at PETstock rescue adoption day. Here’s why you should think about giving a rescue a second chance.

Furry friends will be on the hunt for their new fur-ever home next month — and they need your help.
PETstock stores around Melbourne will take part in PETstock Assist’s national pet adoption day on February 15.
PETstock Assist charity and events co-ordinator Jess Guilfoyle said this year’s adoption day would encourage encouraging people to adopt different kinds of animals and breeds.
“We want people to make considered and sustainable choices, and to give rescue pets a chance at a better life,” she said.
“We’re encouraging all animal lovers to … meet pets in need, educate themselves on adoption and reconsider any biases they may have towards rescue animals.”
Olympian Giaan Rooney said she’d always been a huge advocate of adopting rescues.
“It was love at first sight with my most recent rescue Lester,” she said.
“Despite being one leg short, Lester was the perfect dog … he gave me so much and wanted so little in return.”

PETstock is hoping to find the paw-fect home for 1,000 rescue pets across its 145 stores across Australia this adoption day.
The event will run from 10am to 2pm.
