MANNINGHAM’S premier new five-court sporting facility, the Mullum Mullum Stadium in Donvale, has opened its doors.
Expected to cater to 100,000 users each year, the stadium will be one of the largest community sporting facilities in Melbourne’s east, featuring five multi-use indoor sports courts and seating for up to 500 spectators.

The impressive indoor courts meet national competition standards for a range of sports including basketball, netball and table tennis. They also cater to volleyball, futsal and other recreation activities.
A family fun day was held recently to mark the opening.
Manningham Mayor Andrew Conlon said the stadium was a fantastic new multi-use sports facility for Manningham and the region.
“This is an exciting new stadium that will connect athletes, spectators and the wider community. It will provide opportunities for all-abilities and all ages to get active and participate in sport,” Cr Conlon said.
Cr Conlon said with cutting edge solar technology and sustainable water use forming part of its design, the 6000sq m stadium gets a big tick for sustainability.
“We have designed this stadium with the future in mind. A 450kW system featuring an impressive 1330 solar panels will help power the stadium, with excess power generated to be fed back into the mains electricity grid,” he said.
The $20 million Mullum Mullum Stadium project has been delivered with $878,000 in State Government funding through Sport and Recreation Victoria, Melbourne Water and the Taxi Services Commission.
