THE world’s largest gathering of Albert Einstein lookalikes descended on South Morang last week.
Students from Marymede Catholic College, St Mary’s Primary School, St Joseph’s Primary School and St Paul the Apostle Primary School donned wigs, moustaches, blazers and a shirt and tie to break the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as the famous theoretical physicist.
VIOLENT ROAD RAGE ATTACKS RAMPANT
Marymede Catholic College registrar Matthew Luczek said while the attempt was yet to be recognised by the Guinness World Record Headquarters in London, he believed the 541 pupils had smashed the former record held by a Californian school of 304 lookalikes.
The gathering was used to mark science week.
“It was an amazing sight and I am extremely proud of our participants from all four schools for embracing the attempt and really contributing to a great morning,” Mr Luczek said.
Marymede College student Marnie Carton-Rigney said she was “really excited and proud” to break the record.
