Two Murray Darling winery operators have been charged after an investigation into a $20m fraud scheme.
The pair allegedly falsified a range of documents to an Australian bank, including cheques and loan documentation, between September 2010 and March 2016.
The investigation found the men had allegedly siphoned more than $20m.
A 56-year-old Mildura man was charged with conspiracy to defraud, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, and four counts of perjury.
A 62-year-old man from NSW was also charged with conspiracy to defraud and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
Both men have been remanded to face Mildura Magistrates’ Court on 17 September.
The investigation is ongoing.
