Thousands flocked to the northwest of the state for the 2024 Swan Hill Cup, one of Australia’s most iconic country race days.
The Herald Sun captured the excitement and festivities at the Swan Hill Racecourse, where racegoers, dressed to the nines, eagerly anticipated a fun day at the track.
The entire town of Swan Hill was booked out for the entire King’s Birthday long weekend, a massive boon for the town.
Swan Hill Mayor Stuart King spoke to the Herald Sun trackside and highlighted the importance of the event to the town, saying, “It’s a fantastic day for Swan Hill and the region.
“It’s great for locals and visitors alike to come to town, enjoy the races, and discover all the other great things we have to offer. Swan Hill is the winner.”
