A Mildura man who sexually assaulted a mother while she was changing her baby’s nappy will have to wait until next year to find out his sentence.
Connor Pappin fronted Mildura Magistrates Court for sentencing on two counts of sexual activity in front of a child and one charge of abduction or detention for a sexual purpose.
Last October, Mr Pappin entered a baby changing facility at a Mildura shopping centre, brandished a pocket knife at his victim and told her, “If you don’t show me your b**bs, I am going to stab you”.
The victim was changing her five-month-old’s nappy when the incident occurred.
Mr Pappin’s sentencing was adjourned on Monday by Magistrate Rose Falla, who was waiting on a report to minimise any future risk Mr Pappin could pose.

“I’m not just looking at this instance, I want to mitigate further risk if there is more to be posed,” Ms Falla said.
It was also revealed in court that after assessment by multiple forensic psychologists, Mr Pappin did not meet the criteria for an intellectual disability according to the department.
Mr Pappin’s only interaction with the court was to meekly acknowledge his understanding of his bail conditions when Ms Falla asked him.
The victim in the matter put her head in her hands when the adjournment was officially announced.
Mr Pappin’s next slated to appear in court on February 14.
