Two Murray Darling brothers believed to be among the biggest producers of white wine in Australia have been accused of defrauding more than $20m during a six-year period.
Vincent Littore and David Littore fronted the Mildura Magistrates’ Court on September 17 for a brief filing hearing.
The duo, who run Jindalee Road Wines, allegedly falsified a range of documents to an Australian bank, including cheques and loan documentation, between September 2010 and March 2016.
The two brothers, who served as co-managing directors, increased holdings and production, and, since 2008, have conducted operations as Littore Family Wines, a business that reflects the strong family values and ethics of the family, according to their website.
Both men appeared in the front of the courtroom and have been charged on summons.
Magistrate Patrick Southey told the pair they would face a committal mention in Mildura on November 20.
