A Mildura mum of five has bragged online about punching another woman and “watching her blood go everywhere” after a violent confrontation with a former housemate.

Samantha Kenny fronted the Mildura court to plead guilty to multiple charges, including affray.

In August 2024, the victim visited Kenny’s Hornsey Park home after receiving a delivery notification for a package addressed to her but sent to Kenny’s property.

When the victim arrived, Kenny denied the victim and a person accompanying her entry to retrieve the parcel, telling them, “you’ll get them when I am good and ready”.

A scuffle ensued when the victim tried to prevent Kenny from recording the interaction and Kenny burst out of the house brandishing a kitchen knife and yelling threats.

Police were called and witnessed the victim and Kenny fighting. They also saw Kenny throwing punches and holding the knife.

Officers drew their tasers and ordered Kenny to drop the knife at which point she complied and was arrested.

Kenny wrote defamatory posts about the victim following her arrest, on multiple social media platforms, calling the woman a “pill popping, juice swallowing junkie,” before boasting about punching the victim and “watching her blood go everywhere”.

Kenny’s lawyer, Hannah Smith, said her client suffered from numerous health problems including tumours and fibromyalgia, and struggled with mental health issues too.

Magistrate Patrick Southey called Kenny’s offending “serious” before handing down his sentence.

“You have behaved in a nasty, nasty fashion, Ms Kenny,” Mr Southey said.

Kenny was convicted and was fined a total of $1040.
