After being cancelled on Thursday, the Mildura Show got off to a cracking start on Friday.
The show came back from a two year hiatus due to Covid restrictions and the organisers were determined to have the show go ahead this year.
Show goer Grace Fangaloha said Mildura was lucky to have the show back on.
“Yeah it’s great that the show can go ahead this year,” she said.
“We are definite luckier than some other places.
“It’s fun to be able to get out and win some prizes.”
Show co-ordinator Jo Rodda ensured show goers that the weekend would be full of fun.
“We’ve got ... jetpack entertainment, woodchopping on Saturday, children's entertainer get your grove on, rides and carnival games,” she said.
After the Thursday cancellation the show went ahead without any further hiccups.
The show also featured a fireworks displays on both Friday and Saturday night.
This year marked 75th anniversary of the show, making it longest running show in the region.
