A car has smashed into the front bedroom of a house in Mildura after being hit by a truck.
The white Toyota Corolla was pushed into a house on Etiwanda Ave after being rear ended by a Mitsubishi Fuso about 12.30pm on Wednesday.
It is believed no one was injured in the vehicle or the house.
A 34-year-old Mildura man believed to have been driving the truck was arrested and interviewed by police.
“It is understood a male driver was travelling along Etiwanda Ave when he collided with Toyota sedan about 12pm,” a police spokeswoman said.
The impact forced the sedan into the front bedroom of the house. Luckily no one was injured.”
The man has not yet been released and the police investigation was continuing.
Neighbour David Pinter said he didn’t see the collision but heard the car crash into the house.
‘I heard a commotion and come out the front and the car has gone into the house. I think the truck pushed it into the house,” Mr Pinter said.
Another neighbour said it was not unusual to see police cars in the area.
“They are always here, there’s always something going on. This is a bit different though,” they said.
SES volunteers attended the crash and confirmed no one were trapped in the vehicle and the building did not need immediate work to stabilise it.
A building inspector was expected to assess the building on Wednesday afternoon.
The police investigation remain ongoing.
