A teenager has been airlifted to hospital after being hit in the head by a teleboom pole in the state’s west.

A teenager has been airlifted to hospital after he was struck by a teleboom in the state’s west on Wednesday afternoon.

Paramedics rushed to the rural town of Lawler just before 2pm to reports a 16-year-old had been hit in the head by a teleboom.

It’s not known exactly how the incident unfolded.

Paramedics treated the boy for upper body injuries at the scene.

He was airlifted to hospital in a stable condition.
