Mildura Magistrates’ Court: Rianna Bashford bailed on charges related to an alleged attack

A Mildura woman accused of playing her part in an alleged revenge attack involving a foldable iPhone firearm has faced court.

A 24-year-old Mildura woman has been accused of being part of a revenge plot that saw a man allegedly assaulted, drugged and held against his will.

Rianna Bashford faced Mildura Magistrates Court appealing for bail in the wake of the alleged attack.

Ms Bashford was facing 11 charges including reckless conduct endangering serious, theft, possession of both GHB and cannabis, prohibited person possessing a firearm, administering substance capable of interfering with body, false imprisonment, theft and common law assault.

The court heard that Ms Bashford and her co-accused allegedly lured a man to her address where he was allegedly savagely beaten, plied with drugs and held against his will.

It was also claimed a foldable iPhone firearm was used in the alleged attack. Police confirmed it was found with two live .22 rounds, but are waiting on ballistics to find out if it was a fully functioning weapon.

Ms Bashford was bailed to her home address and given strict conditions, including a 9pm curfew and orders not to contact the accused, while she awaits the next steps of her trial.
