Wanderlust: Melbourne welcomes its very first interactive travel experience
Scratch the travel itch with a new event is launching this December which will take you to the world’s best travel destinations without leaving Melbourne. Forget the jet lag – see if your wanderlust bucket list activity is there.

Wanderlust Melbourne is opening this December allowing you to take a stroll through the best cities in the world without leaving the city.
The pop-up attraction will sweep you away to your dream destination through a multi-sensory experience located on Smith St in Fitzroy.
Spread across five rooms visitors will enter through the departure gate and cross the border and walk through the streets of Paris, marvel at Big Ben or eat a New York hot dog.
Chief operating officer Rachel Moore said the experience will satisfy travel bug cravings for Melburnians.
“As borders remain closed and the prospect of international travel still in the distant future, we wanted to help realise the travel dreams of Victorians and allow them to experience the excitement, joy and curiosity that comes with visiting somewhere new,” she said.
“Let us open the world to you and satisfy your wanderlust.”
The interactive travel experience is a Melbourne first and allows Victorian’s who have been prevented from travelling from getting their fix.
Whether it’s going to a tropical beach or a winter wonderland there is something for everyone to experience through smell, sound, touch and even taste without flying anywhere.
NEW YORK
Recreating the city’s iconic landmarks eat an authentic New York hot dog while going through Times Square, Broadway, Fifth Avenue and the Empire State Building.

LONDON
Head to London without the 24 hour flight and look at Big Ben and take a picture in a red telephone box.
PARIS
Next on the travel itinerary is Paris, the home of love, art and fashion. Stand under the Eiffel Tower and get a prime position right in front of the Mona Lisa. If a relaxed holiday is what you’re after sit at a French Patisserie and watching the world go by.
TROPICS
After spending all winter inside it’s time to hit the beach room where you can pull up a deck chair, feel the sands beneath your toes and walk along the boardwalk with a mocktail from the beach bar.
WINTER WONDERLAND
Finally you can have a real white Christmas in Australia when you enter the magical snowy scene with a four metre snow dome.
