If you’re looking for the next big Melbourne fashion trend, you might want to head to Revival Runway’s upcoming show.
The non-profit event will showcase the best Australian independent and small fashion labels on Thursday.
The organisation’s founder Sofie Carfi created Revival Runway to focus on a ‘slow fashion’ ethos and small brands in a bid to cut down on fast fashion and consumerism.
Ms Carfi who, fed up with global brands dominating the Australian market, supports independent labels.
The show will feature small brand Aussie designers, students, and boutique fashion labels at the front of the runway for Melburnians to see, with the support of industry experts volunteering their time.
Tarramarra is one of the brands participating in this year’s event.
The new youth brand from Ever Australia is one of the largest sheepskin shoe and boot producers in the county.
Tarramarra marketing manager Laura Li said Revival Runway presented an opportunity to support local.
“As an Australian company, we are big supporters of home grown fashion and designers, and the opportunity to partner with some of the country’s up and coming designers is truly exciting,” Ms Li said.
“We believe the ethos of Revival Runway to support both lovers of fashion, and locals in fashion perfectly aligns to the aspirations of the Australian Shepherd brand.”
Tickets to the show are $35 and will give you access to the complete runway experience, including viewing featured looks from new designer collections, access to the afterparty and a free drink and nibbles.
The night will be hosted by Helena Hogan and Jess Bond, and featured include Vow Studio, Hew, RawEm, YEVU, Remuse, Jude, Scenic Flaws, LH Clothings, Reigner, Project Bowman, Mazi and Shoes by Tarramarra.
