A construction worker dad has admitted running a major heroin importation racket while based in Melbourne.

Nicholas ‘Nic’ Procter, 37, pleaded guilty in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday to importing a marketable quantity of heroin.

Procter ran his smack racket while based in Melbourne between July 31 and August 28 last year.

Procter, a dad, was also nabbed with heroin at Southbank on August 19 last year.

Procter also admitted possessing a false document to “induce another person to accept it as genuine”.

According to social media, Procter came to Melbourne after spending much of his life in Perth.

He also worked in multiple construction roles.

Procter will face the County Court for a pre-sentence hearing at a later date.
