A suspected teen hoodlum allegedly drove off in a smashed stolen Audi A5 while being chased by police through Melbourne’s southeast.

Daniel Batsanes, 18, fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged with various criminal offences including multiple car theft charges.

Batsanes allegedly kicked off his suspected crime spree in Narre Warren on October 19 last year.

Police alleged Batsanes knocked off a $25,000 Ford XR-6, intentionally committed serious injury and was nabbed with stolen plates.

Batsanes, who was on bail at the time, also allegedly attempted to steal from a motor vehicle.

Police say Batsanes allegedly moved his suspected criminal exploits to Endeavour Hills on October 27 where the teen was accused of nicking a Honda Civic.

Batsanes, who was disqualified from driving a car at the time, also allegedly stole petrol.

Batsanes, who was slapped with 30 charges, also allegedly committed trespass in Mulgrave and theft at Noble Park, both on November 29 last year.

Only the day before Batsanes failed to front at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court as a condition of bail, it was alleged.

Police also alleged Batsanes stole a $25,000 Audi A5 in Springvale on December 4 last year.

Batsanes has been accused of doing a runner in the Audi and leading cops on a pursuit through Melbourne’s southeast.

It’s alleged Batsanes drove “in a manner dangerous to the public” through Springvale and illegally coasted along the Princes Highway.

Batsanes, allegedly caught with bute, cannabis and a weapon, was also charged with failing to stop the car when ordered by police at Dandenong.

It’s also alleged Batsanes, who was charged with using “cloned” number plates, got into an accident and caused property damage but “did fail to immediately stop”.

Police caught up with Batsanes at Noble Park where he was allegedly nabbed with meth, stolen identity documents and bank cards and white pills marked ‘300’.

The defence asked the court for a short adjournment after indicating Batsanes’ matters were close to being resolved.

Batsanes, who appeared via videolink, was remanded to face court at a later date.
